A ranking is only worth something if you can check it. These are the numbers the board is built from, updated every minute. Feeds and time are the only things that decide rank, and both of them are here.

What is not here
A live "people online" counter. Other boards show one and it is good social proof, but Starvling has no accounts and no sessions, and it writes down a visitor only at the moment they feed something. It genuinely cannot tell who is merely looking, and inventing that number on a site about honest attention would be a strange place to start lying. "People who fed today" is the real version.
Revenue. Other boards publish theirs and it makes a good post, but what a directory earns has nothing to do with whether its ranking is honest. What matters is that money cannot appear in the numbers above, and it cannot: rank is feeds today, then feeds all time, then age.
Nothing about the people who feed. There is no account to have, and the anonymous key that stops one person feeding twice in a day is never joined to anything else. Read the privacy page if you want the detail.
